Recent RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) graduate Theophil Syslo visited the Institute this past semester and gave our young students disposable cameras to take pictures of things that interest them. Theophil incorporated the drumming and singing from the Sunday Student Doology Hour service with the children's explanations of their photography efforts to come up with an excellent video. Doology is the discipline practiced at the only teaching church/spiritual and cultural organization in Rochester, NY, known as First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. Minister Lawrance Lee Evans is the National Minister of First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. and he came up with the idea of Doology as a teenager. Minister Evans went on to establish the Institute in 1970. In Doology, we are taught that positive action in your community or organization is valued more than just complaining.
