"Ma Akilah's Cultural Extravaganza" is coming and update of Uhuru Week

On Sunday, Sept. 23, four days after the birthday of the late Minster Akilah Evans and on what would have been the 45th anniversary of the Ministers Evans, First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. will bring back after a long absence the "Cultural Extravaganza." Now renamed "Ma Akilah's Cultural Extravaganza," the outdoor event, beginning at 4 pm outside 219 Hamilton Street,  will feature cultural events such as an African fashion show by Minister Lawrance Evans' adult students.

Here are a couple of videos from the successful August 21 Doology lecture by Minister Evans, and the video at the bottom of this post is from the August 24 Sylvester and Stacey Johnson Memorial Lecture.
