Doology is the discipline practiced at the only teaching church/spiritual and cultural organization in Rochester, NY, known as First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. Minister Lawrance Lee Evans is the National Minister of First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. and he came up with the idea of Doology as a teenager. Minister Evans went on to establish the Institute in 1970. In Doology, we are taught that positive action in your community or organization is valued more than just complaining.

Minister Lawrance Lee Evans, Sr. 's legacy is finally out in a book format. One of his adult students, Sister Brenda Snow, active in the Institute for three years, was so inspired by Minister Evans' lessons and the audio lessons of his late queen, Minister Akilah Ife, that she decided to write her debut book Doology: My Meditations and Inspirations from Minister Lawrance Lee Evans Sr. The book is now available for purchase for $15.00 USD. A prolific writer, Sister Snow uses various Biblical verses to express her love for the Evans family and explain the discipline of Doology. Sister Brenda is currently interning with Minister Evans for one year in preparation to become a minister in her own right.
