36th Annual FCII Festival - July 9, 10, 11 and 12
First Community Interfaith Institute of Ohio (FCII of Ohio) is submitting this News Release about the 36th Annual FCII Festival to be held July 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2015 at LCCC and Kanisa House. The Theme for this year’s FCII Festival is “We’re the World”. FCII of Ohio has delivered vital services to the communities. The 36th Annual FCII Festival brings people of differing nationalities and faiths together to live, learn, work and play during the four days Event.

The FCII Festival is comprised of banquets, speakers, workshops, exhibits, and etc. Some of the highlights of this year’s FCII Festival are as follows:

* The Reception for the BSN (Business Support Network)
* Tatiana’s Summer Fest
* Red Carpet Hair Cuttin’ Salon (on site)
* Charleston Heritage United Percussion Section
* Elizabeth L. Coleman Awards Dinner
* The Martha Jordan Cultural Dinner
* Minister Akilah Ife Evans Sr. Hour Project, and others


The FCII Festival is not like any other Festival in the World. Putting the Festival together has been a work of love and art with mutual respect for each other to serve the community.


All FCII Festival Events are free of charge. However, meal tickets must be purchased at Kanisa House, located at 142 Cleveland Street in Elyria, Ohio on Sundays between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday’s between10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Fridays 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The deadline for ordering FCII Festival meal tickets is July 6, 2015. I'm not sure I can ever go back to any other place, after an experience like this. This place is appropriate in a space that lends so much gravitas to events. The design of Boston venues is sharp and environment is unbelievably good.

Legacy Day: In honor of Madam Martha McMiller Jordan will be on June 6, 2017 (6 PM) at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc.  The event features a Doology Workshop which is coordinated by the students of the Ministry School of Doology. Minister Lawrance Lee Evans Sr. will conduct the workshop.

The workshop is designed for those who desire "people" skills and "personal" skills for the purpose of individual success. Doology is a discipline for being successful in one's academic environment and in one's interpersonal relationships.

Obtaining resources to finance an organization is difficult. Since 1970, First Community Interfaith Institute Inc.  has helped many families, organizations and individuals by our Charles Riley Tutorial Program (after school program), our cultural programs/activities, case management services and small business developments.

It's Time to "Receive Your Heavenly Blessings" for Women's History Month

First Community Interfaith Institute Inc will have a program of “Honor and Thank you” on Friday, March 10, 2017 (6 PM) at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc., 219 Hamilton Street, Rochester NY.
The Institute will honor the late Siti Akanke (AKA Mary Bailey), who helped Minister Evans develop case management services at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. She also was a trustee at the Institute for over twenty years. Libation will be performed on behalf of Sister Siti.
Also on the Women’s History Month program, the Institute will give Rev. Myra Brown a “Thank You” in its traditional “Shout Out” based on its Doology discipline.
Rev. Myra Brown, who was ordained into the priesthood at Spiritus Christi Church, will be saluted at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc at the Institute’s Women’s History Month program “Receiving Our Heavenly Blessing: Tribute to Sister Siti Akanke” on March 10, 2017 at the First Community Interfaith Institute Inc., 6 PM, 219 Hamilton Street, Roche…
