Join us for our annual Legacy Day celebration

Legacy Day: In honor of Madam Martha McMiller Jordan will be on June 6, 2017 (6 PM) at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc.  The event features a Doology Workshop which is coordinated by the students of the Ministry School of Doology. Minister Lawrance Lee Evans Sr. will conduct the workshop.

The workshop is designed for those who desire "people" skills and "personal" skills for the purpose of individual success. Doology is a discipline for being successful in one's academic environment and in one's interpersonal relationships.
Minister Lawrance Lee Evans Sr. is the Developer of Doology based on the teachings of his late grandmother, Madam Martha McMiller Jordan. RSVP at fciirochester@gmail.com.
June 6 is the birthday of Madam Martha Jordan. The Doology Workshop is also a fundraiser for the annual trip to the FCII Festival in July.

Hot off the press: Doology: My Meditations and Inspirations from Minister Lawrance Lee Evans is available

Minister Lawrance Lee Evans, Sr. 's legacy is finally out in a book format.  One of his adult students, Sister Brenda Snow, active in the Institute for three years, was so inspired by Minister Evans' lessons and the audio lessons of his late queen, Minister Akilah Ife, that she decided to write her debut book Doology: My Meditations and Inspirations from Minister Lawrance Lee Evans Sr.  The book is now available for purchase for $15.00 USD. A prolific writer, Sister Snow uses various Biblical verses to express her love for the Evans family and explain the discipline of Doology. Sister Brenda is currently interning with Minister Evans for one year in preparation to become a minister in her own right.

Here is a link to the order form that you can download and print to order the book:

Minister Akilah's Cultural Extravaganza is on Sept. 23

The month of September is very important at First Community Interfaith Institute Inc. We resume our after school portion of the Charles Riley Tutorial Program. Some members of the extended Evans family have birthdays in September. The late Minister Akilah Ife Evans, the First Lady of First Community Interfaith Institute in Rochester, was born in September and married Minister Lawrance Lee Evans in September 1967, while both were still in college.

On Saturday, September 23 at 6 PM, we will celebrate Minister Akilah's legacy with the annual Minister Akikah Ife's Cultural Extravaganza at 219 Hamilton Street. The final performer's lineup has yet to be confirmed, but it s safe to say that you will have a good time while watching the finest in music and poetry from our community. We encourage one and all to participate on September 23. Food will be served. If you want to participate or have questions, please come to Student Doology Hour on Sunday at 4 PM at 219 Hamilton Street.
